The Thermal-Eye 4500 is a thermal imaging camera core based on L3-Communications second generation Amorphous Silicon Micro bolometer detector technology. The 30-micron, 320x 240 pixels, focal plane provides the "best in class" image when compared against its industry peers.
The small form factor and wide variety of lenses make this unit suitable for incorporation into thermal imagers that target many industry sectors. The units are available in 9Hz (licence-free) and 25Hz versions and feature advanced solar detection algorithms to ensure that they are not damaged when exposed to sunlight.
